Dr. Christine Sekaggya-Wiltshire is a Co-Investigator on the ENRICH project. She is a Consultant Haematologist, Assistant Clinical Head of the Directorate of Internal Medicine at Mulago National Referral Hospital, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Makerere University, where she coordinates the postgraduate Haematology training programme for resident doctors. She also heads the Adult Haematology Unit within the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Sekaggya-Wiltshire holds a PhD in Medicine and conducts clinical research in benign haematology, with a particular focus on thrombosis and sickle cell disease. She also leads research, including clinical trials, in infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis and HIV. She is a former European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) and Fogarty Global Health Fellow, a current Affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences, and serves on several World Health Organization (WHO) advisory groups, including the Scientific Advisory Group for Target Product Profiles for Tuberculosis Diagnostics, the Technical Advisory Group on Tuberculosis Drug Dosing, and the Clinical Trials in Pregnancy Working Group.

She has supported Uganda’s Ministry of Health in the development of national clinical guidelines, including the haematology sections of the Uganda Clinical Guidelines, as well as the COVID-19 treatment and therapeutic guidelines. She is also a member of the American Society of Hematology Women in Hematology Committee.
